Park Hangout - August Social Meetup

  • Bowness Park 8900 48 Avenue Northwest Calgary, AB, T3B 2B2 Canada (map)

Come and meet us at our next informal social event. Bring your curiosities about cohousing and Mosaic Village, and families please bring your kids! Some of our Mosaic Village kids (from 2 to 11 years old) will be there having fun too. Meet other Calgarians that dream of a more sustainable, connected, people-focused way of living.

We're planning to picnic, play some games, and have some fun. We'll have some snacks to share, but feel free to bring a bit of something if you want. If you can only drop by for a bit, no worries!

DETAILS:
Stop by any time between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. We’ll be hanging out, playing games and generally getting to know each other.

VENUE:
Bowness Park Picnic Site #2 (just east of the main parking lot, north of the train and lagoon) See a full map and directions (including directions to the overflow parking and shuttle) at www.mosaicvillage.org/bowness-park

There is a shelter at the picnic site, however if the weather is looking very unwelcoming, we will post an event cancellation the day before on our website, Meetup and Facebook pages, so please check in.

RSVP:
We appreciate RSVPs via our Meetup, Facebook or info@mosaicvillage.org so that we can prepare.

ABOUT COHOUSING
Have you had a conversation with a neighbour lately? Do you feel comfortable knocking at the house next door for an egg? Do your kids have neighbourhood play dates, no coordination needed? In a cohousing community, the answer to these questions is YES!

Cohousing combines private home ownership with access to extensive shared facilities in a sustainable and people-oriented design. Neighbours maintain independent incomes and lifestyles, while participating in a ‘sharing economy’ that enriches their lives.

HOSTED BY:
Mosaic Village Cohousing www.mosaicvillage.org
We're 15 households (& growing) that are working on building a thriving, caring, diverse multigenerational cohousing community in Calgary. Could you be one of our future neighbours?
